Friday Numbers

The first debate is history.  Concensus seems to be that Hillary came out on top and Obama disappointed many, although Newsweek opines NOBODY won..  The polls out today don't deal with the debate, but they do contain some interesting numbers and trends to track...

A couple of interesting polls came out today. First is the Rasmussen Reports Poll that shows that “Fifty-seven percent (57%) of American voters now favor either an immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq (37%) or a firm deadline for their withdrawal (20%).” Bush needs to get if he vetos the spending bill he’s not listening [...]

60 Percent Of Republicans Say Immediate Action On Global Warming Necessary


Americans in large bipartisan numbers say the heating of the earth's atmosphere is having serious effects on the environment now or will soon and think that it is necessary to take immediate steps to reduce its effects, the latest New York Times/CBS News poll finds.
