As one who lives a little north of Philly, and has listened to Smerconish in recent years, I can say that he's been evolving in an interesting and thoughtful manner in recent years--used to be dependably rock-hard neo-con, but like many in this area, he is disheartened by the antics of the moonbats who staff the Bush/Cheney administration.

But I can honestly report that if the Republican Party desires a future in the Northeast, it needs to de-link from the extra-chromosome religious right, and lose the economic policies that so blatantly favor the super-rich. And even that may not do it.
