New Day and a New Work Week

There are folks who have today off for Columbus Day, however the numbers seem fewer and fewer each year.  Heck, even the city trash pickup crews were doing their job today!  Here's hoping you had a productive and enjoyable weekend.  We spent most of the time around the house, doing very little.  That's why you saw a fairly constant string of posts Sunday.  I could catch bits and piece of the Sunday talkers, watch a little football, and still keep my eye on the blogosphere.  That's a rarity for a Sunday around our place, but really quite enjoyable.


Let's begin this week with a bit of a downer. The Blackwater folks just seem to be digging themselves a bigger and bigger hole when it comes to Iraq. And, still, they land a contract extension.  Even with reports like the following.  It's not current, but it's still crucial to our understanding of why we're not universally loved by the Iraqi people..and, do you really think Blackwater has cleaned up its act in the past couple of years?...
