We've hit that mysteriously meaningful "hump day" in another week, the point at which we stand tall on the mountain, peering into the distance for the weekend. But, our work is only half-way finished, both in the real world and here on the blog. We're going to slowly morph into a new approach, to save time and, hopefully, improve the quality of what you find here. Rather than overloading you with 15 or 20 individual posts each evening, I'm going to try to pick a handful of topics and hand you some interesting blog links, along with some of my thoughts, about them.
Right up at the top of my list of stories that baffle and amaze me, comes the Dan Bartlett tap-dance. Let's broaden our scope, just a bit, to include the Republican Party -
Did the Republicans debate last night foreshadow some problems for the GOP? "Paul and Tancredo said they would not necessarily support the GOP nominee. That is interesting. Does this feeling persist within the Republican Party?" The folks at NBC's First Read note the significance of this interchange [...]

Religious right leader reiterates threat to GOP
Several reports have made clear in recent weeks that prominent religious right leaders are threatening to break with the GOP if Rudy Giuliani wins the party’s presidential nomination. As part of my ongoing fascination with the subject, the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins addressed the subject today during a conference call with reporters. His comments [...]
