I won't deny that there are problems with America's public school system, in general. However, I'm not willing to place the blame where this blogger wants to place it. I think there are bigger issues, caused by both parties, that need to be addressed. That's why we've seen an increase in homeschooling, private schools and charter schools. However, it's becoming increasingly difficult for families to afford some of those options. Try to convince those folks that the economy is doing "just fine". The only option for many is public school. And, in my mind, making school voluntary, not mandatory, is NOT the answer. Let the debate begin...
