Still playing fast and loose with how they identify politicians. This is one of the first rules in ANY newsroom policy manual...the designations are spelled out and you stick with the format. Not at Fox, apparently.
Fox Tidbit - More Chyron Shenanigans
One of the guests today (August 29, 2007) on Fox's "premiere business news" program was Senator Trent Lott (R-MS). Lott was on to report on the post-Katrina rebuilding going on along the Gulf Coast. He was probably the only native Fox could trust (Haley Barbour must have had a prior commitment) to toe the it's-going-pretty-well line. Anyway, during Lott's segment, the chyron read: Sen. Trent Lott (R-MS) on Rebuilding the Golf Coast [....]
