Downright Disappointing

I must admit, I'm disappointed and ashamed at the national media.  I've written before about how wrong Keith Olbermann has been to devote so much time and attention to the Paris Hilton story.  Now, parent company (NBC) has one-upped Countdown with an unbelievable bid to get an interview.  Folks, this just ain't right!


NBC Reportedly Shells Out $1 Mil To Outbid ABC For First Paris Post-Jail Interview



America's insatiable fascination with Paris Hilton took another twist today as television networks reportedly began a bidding war to interview the Californian celebrity after she leaves jail next week.  Quoting unidentified sources, the New York Post said NBC News had agreed to pay up to $1m (£500,000) for an exclusive interview with Ms Hilton, an hotel heiress popularly known as the "heir-head", when she is released from the Century regional detention centre in Lynwood, California after a 45-day sentence for a probation violation. And, by the way, who said America has an "insatiable fascination" with PH?  WHO?


UPDATE: NBC now says: NBC: "We Never Had A Deal" With Paris


And, CNN says: CNN Confirms: Paris On LKL Wednesday


Well, we certainly know what I WON'T be watching!
